Description

Gloreha is a robotic glove for restoring active finger movements. Gloreha allows you to work with all fingers simultaneously, one after another, or with each finger separately. During rehabilitation exercises, the Gloreha glove can be used on either hand and only a few minutes are needed for adaptation.

GLOREHA SINFONIA includes the following features:

• Active exercises for the hands;
• Bi-manual therapy,
• Passive mobilization exercises for the hands;
• Functionally active exercises with real objects;
• Interactive games for the hands;
• Exercises based on "Movement Observation Therapy";
• Exercises with partial or full weight compensation for the hands, so that they can float freely in space and interact with real objects

Indications:

Neurological diseases:
• Stroke
• Traumatic brain injury
• Spinal cord injury
• Multiple sclerosis
• CNS tumor
• Friedreich's ataxia
• Peripheral neuropathy
• Guillain-Barré syndrome

Other indications:

• sympathetic reflex dystrophy
• contracture of the palmar aponeurosis
• burns
• arthrotomy
• replantation of the hand or finger

In passive mode (using motors), Gloreha can be used in patients who do not have any residual ability to move their hand. In this case, finger flexion and extension will be completely performed by the glove.

Gloreha aims to develop finger joints and neuroplasticity through 3D animation and audiovisual feedback

  • Previewing a 3D image on a monitor that simulates a set exercise allows patients to imagine the movement they will later perform, which helps stimulate the area of the brain responsible for this movement;
  • Simultaneous viewing of a 3D image that simulates the current movement allows patients to: perform the exercise more accurately;
  • Develops body perception, a sense of belonging of the hand to the body, and awareness of movement;
  • Carries out functional afferentation and ideomotor programming;
  • Enhances the perception of movement through audio and video effects associated with finger movements;

Depending on the patient's condition, Gloreha software offers a wide range of options for customizing therapy parameters:

  • Selection of the fingers to be trained
  • Setting the range of motion of the joints of each finger;
  • Setting the speed of movement;
  • Selection of the duration of the exercise (in minutes);
  • Setting the pause after flexion/extension (in seconds);
  • Setting the visual and auditory effects associated with the exercise;
  • Selection of the order of finger movements for an individual exercise
  • Exclusion of one or more fingers from the treatment (possible treatment of patients with paralyzed fingers)
  • Setting up selective and combined movements: thanks to the presence of 5 motors (one for each finger), complex exercises combining various finger movements can be used in the treatment of patients.
  • Setting up various combinations of finger flexion and extension: sequential and simultaneous flexion-extension of all fingers, one after the other, "squeezing", "pinching" exercises, an exercise for bringing the thumb and index finger together or the thumb and any other finger, a counting exercise, a "waving" exercise, counting, pinch, wave, etc.
  • Performing Functional Exercises - The lightweight glove does not cause problems due to heaviness or discomfort and allows free movement to reach, grasp, pick up, hold and move objects. The glove is designed to leave the patient's palm open, which allows maintaining tactile contact with the object during functional exercises.

Gloreha is a unique device that enables bilateral therapy, in which partially paralyzed patients can use their healthy hand to create a similar movement on the affected hand through a robotic glove. Bilateral therapy was developed to facilitate the performance of functional exercises. Gloreha offers an immersive therapy in which patients control movement and interact with the environment, becoming the protagonists of the treatment. Mirror neuromotor mechanism, 3D animation of both hands and bilateral functional tasks can increase patient engagement and stimulation of the cortical area.

Mobilization with active support

Gloreha gloves are equipped with sensors that record the active movements of the patient. Gloreha software offers specific active exercises for daily training with real objects. If necessary, the device supports the patient's efforts to fully flex and extend the fingers.

Gloreha software offers a two-stage implementation for each exercise: first, patients can see how the virtual hand does a specific motor task on the screen. Then, the robotic glove partially or fully supports the motor exercise according to the patient's condition.

Interactive games

Gloreha offers interactive and complex games that provide the opportunity to improve finger movements. In the later stages of the rehabilitation process, the glove is not only a movement support, but also something similar to a joystick for playing and rehabilitation at the same time. Gloreha software records the patient's work results. Progress in rehabilitation can be monitored from session to session.

Functional exercises

The goal of each rehabilitation program is to restore activities in everyday life. Gloreha helps patients perform grasping exercises by selecting exercises and performing training with real objects. Gloreha is designed to help perform movements of the entire upper limb: Gloreha includes two dynamic supports that reduce the weight of the upper limb during therapy. The C-shaped table facilitates access to the work area for patients in wheelchairs. The therapist can offer the patient a wide range of exercises with different levels of difficulty. Tasks focused on specific functions can be customized depending on the patient's condition: functional therapy can be active, passive or bilateral.

Dynamic Support

The dynamic support included in the device compensates for the weight of the upper limb, helping patients perform functional exercises that involve the entire upper limb. The arm can move freely in zero gravity and float in space. The degree of compensation is adjusted depending on the arm weight and residual skills of the patient, from 900 g to 5 kg. The dynamic support is light, comfortable and supports the patient's arm movements in all directions. The Gloreha workstation is equipped with two dynamic supports that allow complex functional exercises to be performed simultaneously with both arms.
