The MOTOmed viva2 leg trainer is an ideal supplement to sports and therapeutic therapy in medical facilities and at home, as it enables regular therapeutic sessions.
In addition to the leg trainer, there is also a combined model for training legs and arms/upper body. The arm/upper body trainer can be rotated by 180°. The arm and upper body training specifically strengthens the arm muscles, upper body and shoulder muscles, as well as the respiratory muscles.
Users can intuitively operate the MOTOmed color display (5.7 inch diagonal), as the keys for the next possible step are displayed in "green". The tactile (slightly raised), large keys make the device particularly easy to operate. The large display ensures good legibility.
Functions:
Leg Installation Assistant
The foot placement function simplifies the procedure before starting a workout, namely, placing the feet in the platform pedals. Using a button on the operating panel, the user can move the platform pedals to a position that is convenient for him.
Protection of movement
In the event of a cramp, spasticity or motor block (Freezing), the MOTOmed "Motion Protection" function stops the pedals of the trainer. No matter how the overall muscle tension changes, the "Motion Protection" level does not always remain constant, but adapts to the changes and therefore always remains optimally sensitive. This function is used in all MOTOmed models via sensitive sensors.
Servo training
Similar to an electric motor on a bicycle or a power steering system on a car, the MOTOmed "Servotraining" function supports active training. This function allows you to train independently in an active mode, even if you have little strength. This way, you can restore and maintain your remaining strength without unnecessary strain.
Symmetrical training
The "Symmetrical Training" function of the MOTOmed trainer specifically trains the "weaker" side of the patient's body. Depending on the model, this function is displayed differently. In the MOTOmed viva2 models, the patient determines which part of the body he or she is exerting more force on using a bar chart. In the muvi model, this function is displayed as an animated figure. In this way, in the case of one-sided neurological deficits, the weakened part of the body can be specifically treated. "Symmetrical Training" also prevents overloading of the healthy limbs of the body.
Evaluation of training results
All MOTOmed models provide the user with extensive feedback on training results. Training data such as duration, distance, symmetry, energy expended, tone, average and maximum power in kW in active mode, the ratio of training duration in active and passive modes can be read by the user on the screen in real time, or as a general analysis after the training.
It is used for the following diseases or their consequences:
- hypertonicity (spasticity) and muscle rigidity;
- paralysis due to transverse spinal cord injury;
- metabolic and hemodynamic disorders;
- neurological diseases that involve limited leg movement;
- muscle insufficiency and lack of coordination of movements;
- multiple sclerosis;
- motor function disorders;
- joint stiffness and ankylosis;
- degenerative changes, hypotrophy;
MOTOmed sam2 training results evaluation program
The complete set (software and hardware) consists of:
- Training analysis and results evaluation program "MOTOmed sam2";
- Chip card reader in the control panel;
- Two chip cards for training legs and arms/upper body;
- Chip card reader from the computer.
