OAK - Fall Risk Assessment and Prevention System

UNIQUE AND INNOVATIVE SYSTEM FOR ASSESSING AND PREVENTING THE RISK OF FALLS

PURPOSE:

OAK is an innovative integrated system for assessing and preventing fall risks. The assessment tests are based on international, clinically and scientifically proven scales, digitalized in a virtual reality environment. The system automatically generates special preventive exercises in accordance with the pre-assessed possible fall risk.

TECHNOLOGY:

The OAK technology platform is fully equipped with sensors, which allows for precise and detailed analysis. The system has wearable 30 sensors for kinematic tracking based on magnetic and inertial technologies. These technologies provide unmatched accuracy in assessing the state of the body.

GRADE

The assessment test includes:

• Dynamic information on the correct body position for performing each element of the scale;
• Real-time information on the performance of each element and the data obtained;
• Obtaining kinematic variables, including forces applied to the handrail, as well as data from the balance system;
• Analysis of the assessment for each element and a final assessment of the level of risk of falling.

REPORTING

OAK integrates a fully customizable, state-of-the-art reporting system that includes graphical representation of assessments and rehabilitation exercises performed by the patient. All data is organized in report charts that can also be exported as raw data or in major existing formats.

OAK is equipped with the most extensive network functions that allow remote control of the system, providing access to data on web platforms. The system also allows for the management of patient rehabilitation at home using special devices.

CLINICAL REHABILITATION

Based on the assessment, the system generates a specific set of rehabilitation measures regarding the following:

• Stability limits;
• Reactivity;
• Posture;
• Trunk stability

While the patient performs the exercises, the system records the quality of their performance in real time. Wearable sensors track all patient movements, providing the system with relevant data and generating a variety of feedback, such as visual, acoustic and vocal.

HOME REHABILITATION

OAK HOME TABLET allows you to perform all actions in two modalities:

• ON LINE - communication with the therapist in real time;
• OFF LINE - performing an individual exercise session with the assistance of the "smart virtual assistant" VRRS

Home exercises are aimed at preventing a specific risk assessed by the central system and include:

• Exercises for the lower limbs;
• Exercises for static balance;
• Exercises for the trunk;
• Exercises for dynamic balance.
