ArmMotus™ EMU is a device for comprehensive rehabilitation of the hands due to neurological or musculoskeletal disorders. The technology simulates support for the patient's hand, revealing residual forces and strengthening the muscles. In the later stages, the device can create resistance instead of support.
Thus, the operating modes of the device can be divided into 4 types: passive (the device moves the patient's hand), assistive (the device allows the patient to use minimal effort to independently initiate movements), active (training strength, endurance, accuracy of movements), resistance creation (perfect movements and strength).
Rehabilitation in three-dimensional space
ArmMotus™ EMU is a three-dimensional rehabilitation system for the upper extremities that uses an innovative cable mechanism in combination with a parallel structure of lightweight carbon rods, which reduces friction and inertia of the device. This allows the system to respond and perform movements effectively, improving the interaction between the machine and the person. The unique design creates a sense of touch from the therapist. All this in a three-dimensional space with adjustable arm support.
Work in different modes
Training with the ArmMotus™ EMU is simple, and can be done both sitting and standing, and can also be done with both hands at the same time. The patient is immersed in the world of the game to better train strength, motor control and total range of motion of the joints during a single training session, making the entire rehabilitation process more effective.
With ArmMotus, you can focus on combined training with the environment or immerse the patient in a virtual world, this allows you to fully adapt the device to the patient. During training, the patient can focus on important aspects such as strength, range of motion, interaction with the environment (fine motor skills), cognitive exercises, motor control or coordination.
The patient finds himself in a new world, with full dedication and sensations, where he can confidently restore his abilities.
