Features of therapy on ErigoPro

Thanks to intensive sensory-motor stimulation, ErigoPro (Erigo Pro) ensures effective and safe mobilization of patients with severe neurological disorders even in intensive care units.

Erigo combines gradual verticalization with robotic motor therapy to provide the necessary safety and stabilization of patients in an upright position. Thanks to the unique afferent stimulation provided by Erigo and the flexible belt, patients can train intensively and safely already at a very early stage of rehabilitation.

Cardiovascular stabilization

The robotic leg movements and cyclic leg loading provided by Erigo are important afferent stimuli for the central nervous system. This leads to muscle activation, improved muscle pumping function and venous return, which ultimately leads to increased cardiovascular stability. Thus, patients positioned upright with Erigo usually do not suffer from a drop in blood pressure and are therefore less likely to collapse. They tolerate the upright position better than patients treated on conventional tilt tables without the stepping function and cyclic leg loading.

Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) in ErigoPro

Functional electrical stimulation in ErigoPro is effective in increasing blood flow in the patient's lower limbs. FES helps maintain systolic blood volume and blood pressure. Thus, orthostatic tolerance indicators are increased in the early verticalization stages.

Functional electrical stimulation is fully synchronized with cyclical motor therapy of the lower limbs. ErigoPro allows the use of up to 8 FES channels. All settings and monitoring of the therapy process are performed by the therapist in real time using the user-friendly Erigo interface on the computer touch screen.

Early mobilization not only promotes functional recovery of patients, but also has a positive impact on profitability by reducing the time spent in acute care. Early physiotherapy reduces the time spent in the intensive care unit, the length of hospital stay and therefore the overall costs of therapy. Erigo is highly mobile with wheels for easy transport between rooms. It can be adjusted to align with the patient’s bed for supine transfer or even for transfer with a patient lift.
